Your position
You support our Production Manager in defining and building a robust and reliable isotope production process & organization. You do this by acting as an Intelligent Customer on behalf of Production Management during the detailed design phase of the reactor.
Your role is significant and interesting. But it’s definitely not easy, looking at the high levels of operational safety required in day-to-day reactor operations. At a glance, your responsibilities come down to:
- Represent Production Management in engineering Design Reviews, Hazard Identifications, Task Analyses, and other inter-organizational development processes;
- Interface with NRG HFR & HCL Operations to gain isotope production operational insight;
- Help develop, improve, and integrate the detail design and operational processes and procedures;
- Perform as the Production Management customer in the PALLAS matrix organization;
- Interface with Information Management on the supply chain analyses;
- Interface with Nuclear Training on training needs.
Tasks will evolve with the PALLAS program & reactor lifecycle, with an opportunity to migrate into a new job once the PALLAS reactor is operational.
Your profile
Experience working within an operational production environment of an industry with high levels of procedural compliance and technical diligence is key. Nuclear experience is advantageous, but we are happy to consider other relevant industries such as pharmaceutical or chemical. Practical hands-on experience in supply chain optimization is the other must have. A summary of the most important requirements:
- A relevant bachelor or Master degree;
- At least 7 years of relevant experience;
- Interest in operational excellence and/or human performance;
- Ready to work in a project environment;
- Good command of English;
- Preferably living in the Alkmaar region or willing to relocate;
