The future of energy and healthcare starts with your NRG PALLAS internship
At NRG PALLAS, we believe in the power of the next generation: the pioneers who are helping to create better healthcare and a more sustainable world thanks to nuclear technology. This requires knowledge, skills, and a willingness to continue learning. We offer the expertise, people, and environment that will help you grow and become a new force in this nuclear renaissance.

An internship at the heart of nuclear energy
We are looking for technical enthusiasts with backgrounds ranging from post-secondary vocational education to university who want to join us on our journey of discovery into the future of energy and healthcare. At NRG PALLAS, you will work in multidisciplinary teams on the development of medical isotopes and technology that will help advance the energy transition. You will learn from experienced colleagues from various fields and make a valuable contribution yourself. Below you can read how to get started.
From Delft to the world of nuclear
Nwankwo started as a trainee at NRG PALLAS with no prior experience in the nuclear sector — motivated by a strong sense of curiosity. Today, he works as a junior supply chain manager for short-lived isotopes, overseeing daily processes that contribute to life-saving healthcare.

Internship for the secondary vocational education
Are you enrolled in a technical post-secondary vocational education programme (Dutch: MBO, level 3 or 4)? Then NRG PALLAS has great opportunities for you. We are looking for curious, proactive people who want to contribute to nuclear innovation. Think of fields such as laboratory technology, process engineering, installation and electrical engineering, ICT, administration, or mechanical engineering.

Studying at a university for applied sciences or an academic university? Discover NRG PALLAS
Are you studying at a university for applied sciences or an academic university in the fields of mechanical engineering, applied physics, nuclear engineering, or mathematics, and are you eager to help us achieve our mission? Then we would love to meet you. If you have also completed an elective or minor in nuclear technology, you will be given priority for an internship.

In the laboratory, you will also help shape the future
Are you a student at a university or college, and would you like to work in our laboratory? Then you will first start with the 8-week TMS-VRSD course via our Nuclear Academy. This training is mandatory to work in our controlled areas. After that, you will be authorised to carry out work in the lab.
Growing as nuclear talent
In addition to internships, we also offer an extensive traineeship programme for talented science graduates who want to pursue a career in the nuclear field. Every six months, a new group of up to six enthusiastic science graduates starts the programme. International candidates with a strong background in nuclear science are also welcome to apply.
To prepare you fully for a meaningful career, the traineeship is built around three pillars: 👇

Personal effectiveness
You will get to know yourself better, train your communication skills, work on your confidence, and learn how to make an impact as part of a team.
Project-based learning
You will work on specific projects within various departments and teams. This will allow you to discover what suits you best, gain broad experience, and learn to switch between different fields.
Coaching & community
You will be assigned a permanent coach for the entire duration of the programme. In addition, you will organise a social event with your group of trainees every quarter because connecting with each other is just as important as growing in your profession.

More than a place to learn
A traineeship at NRG PALLAS is more than a place to learn. It is a stepping stone to a career as a technical pioneer in our organisation.
