Engineering
The designers and implementers of NRG PALLAS
At NRG PALLAS, engineers work on technical solutions and innovation for the reactor and its installations. They improve the systems and support Operations with technical issues. They do this in a unique nuclear environment; one that you will only find at NRG PALLAS in the Netherlands. That is why we handle everything in-house, and our engineers dive deep into both design and implementation.

The roles and impact of the field of engineering
Engineering comprises several specialisations. As a system engineer, you support operations and are responsible for a system. You deal with malfunctions and work on medium-term improvements. As a maintenance engineer, you take a broader view: you develop maintenance concepts and ensure that systems remain reliable. Design engineers create detailed technical designs in accordance with international standards and tolerances. Plant engineers oversee the entire installation and fix strategic malfunctions. Together, our engineers keep the technology running and continue to improve it for the future.
Engineering without standard frameworks
Because the environment is so unique, standard solutions mostly are not there. As an engineer at NRG PALLAS, you are constantly interpreting, consulting with the government, and helping to guide regulators. That is precisely what makes the work here unique: you think beyond existing boundaries and help determine what is technically sound and safe.
