Software Developer

The Role
You will join the Common Data Environment (CDE) Development Team within the Information Management (IM) Department of the PALLAS Programme.
In this role, you develop and maintain software solutions that integrate data from a wide range of internal and external sources, supporting informed and timely decision-making across the programme. The most important responsibilities:

- Design, develop and maintain applications and interfaces within the Common Data Environment.
- Integrate data from internal systems as well as suppliers, contractors and external partners.
- Build back-end solutions in Python and front-end interfaces using TypeScript.
- Ensure stable and secure deployments using Git, Docker and Azure/YAML pipelines.
- Translate user requirements into clean, well-structured and maintainable code.
- Actively contribute to testing, error handling and clear technical documentation.
- Support colleagues and stakeholders—often with limited IT or data knowledge—in using the developed tools.
- Work agile and contribute to the continuous improvement of development and delivery processes.
- Actively explore new opportunities, for example in the areas of graph databases, data science and AI.

Your Profile
You enjoy translating complex stakeholder needs and data into clear, reliable and user-friendly applications, while working in a structured and secure development environment. Further you have:

- A completed degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a software developer.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with TypeScript for user interface development.
- Experience with Git, Docker and Azure DevOps / YAML pipelines.
- Familiarity with the agile software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary software development team.
- Experience with software testing, code reviews, error handling and documentation.
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.

Nice to have:

- Experience or interest in graph databases (e.g. SPARQL queries, Weaver).
- Experience with RESTful APIs, OData, or data science concepts.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Cucumber.
- Interest in the use and implementation of AI.

Your Team
You will be part of the Information Management Department within the PALLAS Programme. IM ensures that the right information reaches the right people, at the right time and in the right format The department is responsible for:

- Document Management
- Graphical (BIM) and non-graphical data management
- Development and management of the Common Data Environment

The team consists of a diverse mix of young professionals and experienced specialists from different backgrounds and nationalities. Within IM, you will work in the dedicated CDE Development Team alongside data engineers, software developers and analysts.
Collaboration across disciplines is a key success factor, and you will work closely with colleagues from engineering, operations and other programme functions.
