Position
You contribute to the successful delivery of the PALLAS nuclear reactor new build project by ensuring the highest technical quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Your involvement spans from design, procurement, and manufacturing through installation, commissioning, and testing. You play a key role in supporting compliance, inspections, reporting, and continuous quality monitoring across the PALLAS project supply chain. Your key responsibilities:
- Ensuring that contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors comply with project quality control requirements and Integrated Management System (IMS) QA/QC processes;
- Providing quality control expertise and guidance to Engineering, Construction, and Supply Chain teams;
- Reviewing engineering designs and procurement documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), welding documentation, and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) records;
- Overseeing quality control activities throughout the technical supply chain;
- Monitoring fabrication, installation, inspection, and testing activities to verify compliance with applicable requirements;
- Identifying, documenting, and supporting the resolution of quality non-conformities;
- Preparing and maintaining inspection reports, quality records, status updates, and objective evidence of compliance;
- Supporting the verification of regulatory, technical, contractual, and project quality requirements;
- Identifying, assessing, and managing quality-related risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
The position requires oversight of technical quality activities both at the PALLAS construction site in Petten and at supplier and manufacturer facilities, ensuring consistent application of quality standards across all project phases and locations.
Profile
You are an experienced inspection professional with a strong technical quality background. Excellent communication skills, a structured approach, and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this role. The most important requirements:
- IKT Level II, IWT, or an equivalent qualification in welding, inspection, or quality assurance;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical quality control, preferably within large-scale new-build projects;
- Demonstrated experience with pressure equipment and applicable design codes and standards, such as ASME;
- In-depth knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and Machinery Regulation (MR);
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Valid Category B driving licence.
You are a proactive and quality-focused professional, capable of working effectively with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with demanding technical and regulatory requirements.

Team
You will become part of the Project QSL Department (Quality, Safety & Licensing), operating within the QA/QC team. The three disciplines within the team – QA, QC Civil and QC technical - are responsible for ensuring that the quality objectives, standards, and requirements of the PALLAS reactor project are consistently achieved throughout all project phases, including design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, installation, and commissioning.
A Certificate of Good Conduct (Dutch: Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag or VOG) and a Certificate of No Objection (Dutch: Verklaring Geen Bezwaar or VGB) are part of the selection procedure.
