Position
As a Medior to Senior Consultant in Radioactive Waste Management at NRG PALLAS, you will work on challenging projects in the field of radioactive waste management, both nationally and internationally. You will develop waste routes from engineering to safety demonstrations and contribute to innovative solutions for the safe handling, storage, and final disposal of radioactive materials. You will collaborate closely with clients such as waste producers, waste management organizations, and regulators.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing waste management strategies and supporting decision-making throughout the waste lifecycle;
- Analyzing problems and developing solutions;
- Reviewing characterization data and radionuclide inventories;
- Advising on waste conditioning, packaging, and storage;
- Preparing technical reports and presenting results to clients;
- Contributing to business development and international collaborations.
Profile
We are looking for an experienced professional with:
- A degree in a scientific or technical field;
- At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry, specifically in waste management;
- Experience in a consultancy or client-facing role;
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch and German is a plus;
- Knowledge of waste conditioning, packaging, and storage concepts;
- Experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Team
You will join the Decommissioning, Waste and Disposal (DWD) team, consisting of experts in waste characterization, conditioning, and storage. The team works together on innovative solutions, contributing to nuclear safety and sustainability.
