NRG PALLAS plays a crucial role in the global availability of medical isotopes. The breakthrough of therapeutic radioisotopes offers opportunities for an ambitious growth strategy in this field. To achieve this, we are looking for a Head of Product for the beta isotopes portfolio who combines vision with execution capabilities to significantly strengthen the product portfolio's presence.

Description of the position
The Head of Product is the strategic leader responsible for the long-term vision and successful realization of the product portfolio, as well as identifying and capitalizing on new commercial opportunities and market expansion. You bridge the gap between product development and market success by aligning product strategy with business objectives and growth.
Serving the nuclear medical market is of great strategic importance for NRG PALLAS, with an explicit growth strategy for therapeutic isotopes. In a growing market, and with the promise of the new reactor in Petten, there is an ambition to multiply revenue lines several times in the next 10-15 years for both alpha and beta emitters. The product lines are a combination of irradiation services, the supply of purified isotopes, and additional services.

Core Responsibilities

++Product Strategy and Leadership (Product Management)++

·       Vision & roadmap: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategic roadmap for multiple complex product lines.

·       Market validation: Conduct market and competitor analyses, translate customer needs into opportunities, and determine direction for positioning, pricing, and product marketing.

·       Product lifecycle management: Full responsibility for the product lifecycle: business case, development, launch, and end of life.

·       Business case & margin optimization: Ownership of product profitability, including insight into the entire value chain from supplier to end user.

·       Cross-functional leadership: Guide collaboration between Sales, Innovation, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to successfully execute product strategies.

·       Performance management: Establish, monitor, and report on OKRs for revenue, margin, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Commercial Growth and Market Expansion (Business Development)

·       Identifying new opportunities: Exploring new markets, segments, and strategic partnerships that accelerate growth.

·       Go-to-market strategy: Developing effective launch plans for new products and features.

·       Partnerships & alliances: Building strategic relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers to create new revenue streams.

·       Commercial support: Providing technical and commercial product expertise for complex deals and key customer decisions.

·       Pricing models & business cases: Developing profitable pricing strategies and compelling business cases for investments and new product initiatives

Profile and Qualifications

·       Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, of which 5 years in a senior role.

·       Demonstrable experience in a Productmanagement role

·       Demonstrable experience in Business Development or Strategy is a strong advantage, as well as good insight into NRG PALLAS capabilities or the background to quickly acquire this knowledge.

·       Education: Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Industrial Engineering or Medical Science).

·       Network in the nuclear medical industry

·       Strong analytical skills and technical affinity.

·       Seniority to operate at a strategic level while being hands-on when necessary.

·       Excellent command of Dutch and English;

·       GMP knowledge

Employment conditions

In addition to a challenging role, NRG PALLAS offers excellent employment conditions:

- 27 vacation days and 12 ADV days;
- 8.33% year-end bonus and 8% holiday allowance;
- Pension scheme with ABP, with NRG PALLAS covering 70% of the premium;
- Travel allowance of € 0.23 per km (max. 50 km one way) or full public transport reimbursement;
- Possibility of obtaining mobility budget or relocation allowance.
