The role
You will advise and support Dutch government, industry and project developers in navigating the rapidly changing landscape of nuclear technology, legislation and regulations.
This includes conducting feasibility studies on SMRs for municipalities, advising Dutch companies on the opportunities presented by the construction of new nuclear power plants and drawing up specifications for the construction of new nuclear power plants.
In short, you will tackle a wide range of complex nuclear issues together with experienced subject matter experts from NRG PALLAS and translate them into clear advice for government and industry.
Your profile
You are a seasoned expert the nuclear domain and you’re familiar with international nuclear standards and legislation. This enables you to hit the ground running in becoming an expert in the Dutch nuclear landscape. Experience as a consultant is no requirement, but your strong communication and analytical skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities, enable you to translate complex regulations into practical guidelines and advice. A summary of the requirements:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant STEM field;
- Extensive relevant experience in the nuclear sector;
- Knowledge of nuclear legislation and standards (IAEA, WENRA, EUR);
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and eager to learn Dutch;
- Living in the Arnhem region or willing to relocate from within the EU;
The Team
You will be working in the New Build team at NRG PALLAS Nuclear Energy Services (NES). This team focuses on consultancy for Industry and government relating to nuclear new build projects.
This includes Dutch national plans to build four nuclear power plants, the growing interest of industrial clusters in SMRs and the realisation of the PALLAS reactor in Petten. All developments that offer major opportunities.
NRG PALLAS is the _centre of gravity_ of Dutch nuclear knowledge. We are keen to use the knowledge and experience we gained from the PALLAS programme, to advise, develop and strengthen Dutch industry with nuclear ambitions.
